The New Britain Downtown District Visitors Center, located at 66 West Main Street, will be hosting a month-long series of events in February to celebrate Black History - all sponsored by CMHA.
Adrian Elliott, curator of Gallery 66 and the event organizer, has announced that the entire month will be dedicated to a celebration of all people of color, from our New Britain community and throughout the world.
“We feel the importance of a strong community, of many differing people, is founded in the education of all - to understand how, as groups, there's a lot that make us more alike than different," says Elliot.
To anyone interested in the event series, Elliot encourages all to attend, explaining: "This February we are happy to invite people into the Visitors Center to share the rich history of people of color. We have prepared a varied and fulfilling schedule of events that will appeal to all people."
