Be Informed: Nonprofits and our Communities
- Building relationships with elected officials through informed, consistent communication is key. After finding your legislator(s), introduce yourself, and share how vital our services are to all of Connecticut. Implore them to advocate with us for immediate and long-term improvements to nonprofit funding and related health and human services. Remember, knowledge is strength, stay informed, do your research, and share important resources with those around you.
- Potential changes in Federal law have real impacts on health and human service agencies across the country, including nonprofit organizations and the people we serve in our community. The National Council of Nonprofits has developed a comprehensive packet that will be updated regularly – Executive Orders Affecting Charitable Nonprofits
